In Thailand, the Pineapple goes by the name 'Sapparod' (สับปะรด) and symbolizes good luck and abundance. It is a versatile ingredient used in various dishes across Thailand's four regions. In the north, it's known as 'Manat' (มะนัด) or 'Makanat' (มะขะนัด); in the northeast, 'Baknat' (บักนัด); and in the south, 'Yanat' (ย่านัด) or 'Kanun tong' (ขนุนทอง).
